Paying incentives and incentives modes
In order to pay participants, create or select a study. You can create studies for compensation-only if you only need to issue incentives. Keep in mind all the payment method settings and redeem pages are set per study.
From inside a single study, there are three incentive modes:
- Global
- Single country
- Specific countries
Specific countries
This mode lets you offer every recipient or participant a precise local currency amount that won't shift with exchange rates. If you want to do the following from one single order:
- 1,000 recipients locked to United States for $10 in either US English or Spanish
- 500 recipients locked to India for 2,000 INR in Hindi or UK English
- 400 recipients locked to Switzerland for 50CHF in German, French, or UK English
🔒 Recipients cannot change their country when the specific countries mode is used. This means they won’t see the amounts that recipients in other countries are receiving.
Single country
This is the most common and straightforward mode. One country and one currency.
Global
You enter the incentive amount in USD and Ethnio automatically converts to local currencies in any country in the world. This means the local currency amounts won’t be as polished and rounded as using specific countries unless you turn on Cost of Living.
