All about study overview πŸ—‚οΈ

Inside any study in Ethnio, the study overview page gives you a quick, visual summary of your research study from creation to completion. It’s the central place to track progress and understand where you are in the process. The two big factors in how progress is displayed are:

  1. Study type: a survey will have different steps compared to  1:1 interviews
  2. Publishing method: if you publish as a web intercept or app intercept, there will be steps around traffic compared to study links that don't have those steps.

πŸ” What you'll see on the study overview page

These are all the main elements on this page:

  • Study progress with all the steps and current progress against your study targets
  • Overview and details of your study as you configured them under study plan > key elements
  • Upcoming interviews for moderated studies with scheduling enabled
  • Study targets as defined from study plan > key elements
  • Activity for incentives or scheduled participants

πŸ“ˆ Study progress tracker

The horizontal progress tracker shows each key milestone from creation to completion. The steps and terminology vary slightly depending on your study type and publish method.

βœ… The steps of study progress are the biggest visual on study overview, and that's calculated against your study targets. The steps are all outlined here in the study progress steps article.

🎯 Percentage is calculated from your study target

Your Total Study % Complete updates automatically based on your target (e.g., 2 of 10 survey responses), but we also give some percentage for the study being created. Every study starts off around 14% completed simply from being created.

  • Surveys β€” measured by number of survey responses or survey completes.
  • Interviews β€” measured by completed or confirmed participants.

You can update your target in the Study Plan section, and the progress tracker will update accordingly.
