Why Am I Seeing So Many Duplicate Participants?
If you're noticing a high number of duplicate participants in your screener responses or scheduling calendar, the most likely reason is that you're reusing an existing study that already collected responses in the past. When a participant completes a screener and then fills it out again later, they will be automatically flagged as a duplicate if their original submission is tied to the same study.
To avoid this and make your recruiting process easier, we recommend creating a new study each time you launch a new round of research. This helps prevent previously paid or screened participants from appearing again, keeping your responses list focused and clean.
If you do need to reuse a study, you can still manage the duplicates by heading to the Responses page and using the filter to hide duplicates. This allows you to see only the new and eligible participants for your project. Duplicates are not caused by any incorrect setting in your screener—they’re simply a result of repeat participation in the same study over time.
