Opens / Delivered
You'll see a number after engagement like 1/6 which is Opens / Delivered, so that would be 1 open for 6 delivered emails. Multiple opens from a single recipient, in this context, count as one open for the purpose of calculating engagement.
How the data works
Opened is the number of opens divided by the number of delivered emails in any given distribution.
- Keep it short - no more than 9 words and 60 characters.
- Avoid spam filter language like "free" or "win"
- Use emojis carefully - most researchers don't use these but it can grab attention in moderation (sorry for the terrible research joke ;-)
- No more than 3 punctuation marks per subject line.
