Login-Sharing, Duplicate Accounts, & Shared Emails: Strictly Prohibited
Because Ethnio handles financial data and distributes global participant payments, we enforce strict security controls. Every person accessing Ethnio must use a unique, individual email address. Creating duplicate accounts or using shared inbox addresses is strictly prohibited.

Examples of Prohibited Shared Email Addresses
Any email address accessible by multiple team members or lacking an individual's name is considered a shared address. Common examples include:
- research@company.com
- account@company.com
- purchasing@company.com
- subscription@company.com
- tools@company.com
- ethnio_something@company.com
Login-Sharing
While password managers like 1Password make sharing credentials easy, sharing Ethnio credentials violates our terms of service and poses a security risk.
If we detect shared credentials or email addresses, your account may be locked or suspended. Additionally, accounts flagged for shared activity may automatically require Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), which requires a linked phone number and causes major access issues for shared users.
To avoid interruptions to your research, please ensure each user maintains their own login credentials. If you have questions about your setup, reach out to our team - we are happy to assist.
Duplicate Accounts
If you need to access Ethnio using a second email address, add yourself as a team member under your existing account or contact support at help@ethn.io.
Operating multiple accounts with different email addresses controlled by the same person is prohibited. Accounts violating this policy will be deleted, and the user may be permanently banned from the platform.
