Allow Non SSO Accounts

This article is for Enterprise customers that already use SSO πŸ”’ Nice and secure, well done. Let's say you need to invite outside contractors or freelancers πŸ‘©πŸ’»πŸ‘¨πŸ’» to your Ethnio account. Their email addresses won't match your company domain that's set up with SSO. 😱 By default, they will not be allowed to login to comply with the security model of SSO.

Not to worry, there's a simple setting the Ethnio account owner can enable to allow accounts from other domains:

  1. Have your Ethnio account owner head to their profile > security > SSO settings.
  2. Find "Allow non SSO Accounts" and check that box! πŸ—Ή

Now any account admin or the account owner can invite contractors or any other domain to sign up with a normal email and password. Your core team still uses SSO with their work emails. Everyone's happy? Big question.

So in summary:

  • SSO is enabled for your company by default πŸ‘₯
  • Check "Allow non SSO" to invite contractors 🀝
  • They use email/password, your team uses SSO πŸ‘©πŸ’»πŸ‘¨πŸ’»
  • Collaborate securely with outside help 🎊
