DocuSign Integration

Ethnio integrates directly with DocuSign PowerForms, allowing you to use your existing consent forms as part of the participant screening or scheduling process. This guide walks through how to connect DocuSign, configure your PowerForms, and track consent in Ethnio.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, make sure your DocuSign account has:

DocuSign account with API add-on and PowerForms 📑
DocuSign Connect enabled ✅
Envelope Custom Fields enabled ✅

Connect DocuSign to Ethnio

In Ethnio, head to Integrations and select DocuSign, or go to Home > Consent > Create new > DocuSign integration ➡️
Follow prompts to connect your DocuSign account 🔐
Make sure access to PowerForms is enabled within the DocuSign scope options. 🔧

Once connected, DocuSign PowerForms will be available to use in Ethnio.

Setup the PowerForm Mapping

In your DocuSign account, find the PowerForm for your consent document 🖊️
Make sure "Participant" is entered in the role field. See: DocuSign Integration & Prepopulation Settings for more details.

Select the PowerForm in Ethnio

To capture consent during screening, add consent from the Editor > Add Content > Consent ✅
To capture consent during scheduling, enable consent from Scheduling > Pages > Consent ✅
Enter the PowerForm ID to select the appropriate consent form 🆔
Participant will be prompted to sign the consent form in the screener or before their session 📑
You can track consent status in Home > Consent > Activity 📈

That’s it! Once your DocuSign setup and PowerForm mapping are configured, you can seamlessly collect and track participant consent as part of your Ethnio scheduling workflow.
