Ethnio runs logic on every response to help prevent fake or automated responses. Using an algorithm. Ethnio assigns a numeric score to every response, including many factors. Any response below a certain threshold will be marked as disqualified and hidden from your view. Some of the factors include:

• Percentage of questions answered
• Open-ended field length of response
• Grammer
• Name capitalization (ALL CAPS NAMES get a slightly lower and so do lowercase names)
• Time-to-complete (the slower the better, since bots tend to be instant)
• Complexity of open-ended answers. (if you ask your respondents single-line or paragraph questions, it helps Ethnio sift out fake responses)
• IP Address
• Location
• Device
