Restricted Countries for Incentives
The following is a list of countries that Ethnio is unable to support for issuing incentives, due to international compliance and financial regulations. Please note this list may change at any time, as our payment providers occasionally update their own service availability without notice. As such, this article may be periodically out of date.
Our public catalog of incentive methods
The best place to view our current payment methods and counties is our public catalog. If you're a customer you can also access this catalog from incentives > catalog when you're logged in.
The following countries cannot receive payments (as of October, 2025):
- Afghanistan
- Belarus
- Cuba
- Iran
- Iraq
- Myanmar
- North Korea
- Russia
- Syria
- Ukraine
- Venezuela
- Yemen
Note: some countries above may sometimes work with Virtual Visa but not PayPal, or vice versa. It's important to note this is out of Ethnio's control as country restrictions change daily. Your recipients in restricted countries will see a "not supported" message, which can be customized here.
Prohibited email domains
As part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations, we are required to collect certain information about recipients, like email addresses. These requirements are designed to prevent financial system abuse.
Some online services allow people to create temporary or disposable email addresses without verification. Because these services provide anonymity and can’t be tied to a verified recipient, Ethnio cannot send rewards to disposable or temporary email domains.
