This includes unified rewards emails and expanded global payment options. If you've seen this badge on any incentive methods in your incentives > catalog, this is how it all works:

When you enable unified rewards, you get hundreds of new payment methods in all countries as well as a simpler set of emails to send to recipients. This also makes localization far simpler. Look out for the unified badge in your study > payment methods or incentives > catalog
Before turning this on, it’s important to understand how it may impact your existing email setup. What will change?
1. All payment method emails will be unified into three
Ethnio will replace all the ~70 individual payment method emails with a single “Selected Payment Method” email.
- Instead of customizing tons of payment method emails, you can manage one simplified email.
- The new email includes a dynamic variable for the participant’s selected reward
Single study approach
You can try out the new unified payment methods on a single study, and this will not impact any other studies you use with the legacy emails and payment methods.
2. Any customized or localized email content will be reset ⚠️. This includes:
- Custom subject lines
- Edited email body content
- Translations or localized versions of emails
This happens because the new system is designed to reduce complexity (from ~70+ templates to just a few), and support hundreds of new global payment methods.
What to do before enabling
We recommend:
- Reviewing any important custom email content you may want to reuse
- Taking note of localized text or translations
- Planning to reapply key messaging in the new unified templates
