Study Views πŸ‘€

If you're trying to understand how many people have seen your study or screener, we typically distinguish two types of numbers:

  1. Study Views – The number of times the study was actually displayed to people.
  2. Impressions measured as Page Views – The number of times the Ethnio JavaScript code (whether via Web Intercept or Global JS) contacted the Ethnio infrastructure in an attempt to display the study.

If your study is published using an Intercept (web or app), each time a webpage or app containing the Ethnio code is loaded, the code attempts to display the study. This makes an impression on our servers and automatically increases your used Page Views.

If the study is turned on and any targeting conditions are met, the study will be displayed to visitors β€” this increases the View count.

Here is a breakdown from the Study Publish Page

Impression or Pageview β€” for intercepts, a query to Ethnio code

  • Study β€” The total number of times this study was actually displayed to people via Web Intercept, App Intercept, or Global JS code. Measured in Views.
  • Global JS Web Intercept β€” The number of times the Global JS code attempted to display this study, regardless of whether the study was on or off, or whether targeting conditions were met. Measured in Impressions.
  • JS ID Web Intercept β€” The number of times the Web Intercept code attempted to display this study, regardless of the study’s on/off status or targeting conditions. Measured in Impressions.
  • App Intercept β€” The number of times the App Intercept code attempted to display this study, regardless of the study’s on/off status or targeting conditions. Measured in Impressions.
