What Happens When You Delete a Time Slot with Confirmed Participants? 🗓️
If you try to delete a time slot that has confirmed participants in it, Ethnio will always show a confirmation prompt ⚠️ to make sure you're aware that those sessions will be canceled and participants will be notified.
However, if you're deleting an empty time slot — meaning no one is scheduled in it — there’s no confirmation prompt, and that’s expected behavior ✅.
Sometimes, especially when you’re managing a lot of sessions, it’s possible to accidentally have more than one time slot selected. If you then delete, it might affect more slots than intended. If any of those contain confirmed participants, a warning will still appear.
To help avoid this:
- Double-check which sessions are selected before deleting 👀
- Look out for the bottom bar in the scheduling view, which shows how many time slots are currently selected 🧮
- Only the selected time slots will be impacted
There’s no way to undo a deletion once it’s been confirmed and cancellation emails have gone out. If this happens, you’ll need to manually rebook those participants. We know that can be frustrating, and we’re always happy to help if you need to follow up with them.
