Data Types & Adding Columns

From Pool >> Mapping, you can add a new column for API imports or CSV uploads, and define the data type and mapping. Here are the data types and why they matter in Pool:

• String – most common and lets you create a filter with options like contains, does not contain, or any value.
  
  
• Number – must be formatted as a positive integer. For example any single number, like 1 or 5467889. We don't offer number ranges at this time, so that should be a string. This offers filter ranges options like greater than, less than
  
  
  
  
• Date – must be formatted in ISO 8601 as YYYY-MM-DD. For example, 2021-08-25. Lets you filter on specific dates or date ranges (see screenshot below). We ignore time, FYI
  
  

Once you've created the new column, you can choose mapping but keep in mind you can't select mapping that is already assigned to another column:
