Currency Exchange & Cost of Living Adjustments

For Global incentive orders offering incentives in multiple countries around the world, please note the currency exchange rate is calculated at the time when each recipient chooses their reward. That means that if you issue a $100 reward, someone in France could see it as 100EUR on Monday, but then someone else in France could see 99EUR that Friday. Ethnio is based in California, so all incentives are issued in USD and converted to foreign currency. You can see how USD varies over time against common international currencies:

Below is simply an international guide we've created to help researchers pick the right incentive amounts. It doesn't do anything in your incentive order. This table is based on the cost of groceries in each country, and of course it's entirely up to you to decide how much to pay your participants.

We hope you pay your participants a lot, and pay them quickly, and sure we hope you pay them using Ethnio Incentives. But again this is only meant as a guide to considering research reward amounts in other countries.
