Change or update a response: edit phone number, email, and any details of an existing response by re-submitting.

Email

For a few different reasons, the only way you can edit email is to follow these steps:

  1. Copy their response including scheduling times to notes or a doc outside of Ethnio. You can do this quickly by clicking any respondent's name and then Copy All to Clipboard
  2. Open up a preview or direct link and fill out the screener with the respondent's correct email, including any scheduling times or answers from their previous response
  3. Delete their old response with incorrect email. They'll never know, they don't get any alert, and now you'll have their proper info in the system.

If you're dealing with a confirmed participant under scheduling, please do not delete their interview spot, as that will trigger a cancel email to them. Instead, after you've entered the new participant info, simply follow the Manually Schedule workflow to get them booked in their existing spot, but with their correct info.

Pro tip: if you have enough monitor space, open responses on the left, and your direct link on the right.



Phone & Name

From Responses, click on the name of any respondent to open up the details modal, and then look for edit icons (pencils) next to phone or name. Enter the updated information and that's it.
